Activision drops launch trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0

Activision has just launched the trailer for their battle royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, which will be released on Nov 16, 2022. The game will be a sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone, which was released back in March 2020, during the pandemic. Fans have been waiting for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 since it was announced on Sep 15, 2022, during the Call of Duty: Next event. The hype is especially real when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been received so positively by the players and the video game reviewers. Activision has planned and promised some of the most unique features in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and fans are struggling to wait for more for the game, especially after watching the game’s launch trailer.

Call of Duty: Warzone was launched as a free-to-play battle royale game, which players enjoyed exponentially during the quarantine times. The reception from global players made Call of Duty: Warzone one of the best-performing video games of all time. The reason behind the game’s success was its realistic, fast-paced, and unique gameplay which provided players with an immersive experience especially when the world was fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The game offered a needed variation from popular battle royale games of that time, Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Mobile. The game was genuinely fun to play, especially with your friends. It provided the needed escape to the people who were trapped in their homes during the lockdown. Hence, Call of Duty: Warzone has created a cult following for itself. Because of this, the upcoming sequel has much bigger shoes to fill in and bigger expectations to fulfill. Activision's statement that the original Call Of Duty: Warzone will coexist with Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, will truly test the success of the upcoming sequel.

Activision has added a new game mode to Warzone 2.0, named DMZ, which will offer an open-world experience to the players where the intensity will be dependent on the way they choose to engage in fights. DMZ will offer players many more options to interact with the surroundings and other players, where they can either form their factions or can go against each other. The DMZ game mode will have only one goal which is to loot the best items and get out alive. Now it will be based on the player and their squad and how they choose to do it. They can either cause complete chaos on the map or be stealthy and succeed. To get out of the match with the loot they have gathered, players will have to reach the Al Mazrah Exclusion Zone. DMZ mode will feature the brand new map, Al Mazrah, coming to Warzone 2.0. Al Mazrah has middle eastern vibes and follows similar landscapes and buildings. Activision also said that, in the future, the DMZ mode will also extend further to include other maps as well. Based on the sneak peek of the map and DMZ mode, it seems that Warzone 2.0 has much more adrenaline in store for the players.
